As Operations Director, you will ensure the everyday activities of the company run smoothly. Your duties include managing client throughout the delivery process, coordinating efficient production of the company’s installations, ensuring that the company’s overall operations are cost-effective and supervising the company’s operational staff, procedures and processes.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 As a high-level executive, the Operations Director is responsible for a wide variety of tasks. Their main duties and responsibilities include:

Developing, improving, and implementing operations and production plans to meet company goals

Managing the day-to-day operations of every department, establishing company policies, implementing necessary changes, and adhering to compliance procedures, laws, and regulations

Evaluating overall company performance across all operational activities and supporting the wider executive team in the management of the business.

Providing all necessary reports, assisting management in goal setting and promoting company growth and anticipating and forecasting trends and patterns of the company and marketplace

Managing finances, developing, monitoring and analysing the departmental and company budgets and financial reports

Creating financial plans for increasing revenue margins

Allocating the company’s resources, materials and equipment to the most productive functions, supply chain and delivery management

Creating operation strategies to minimise stock losses, implementing initiatives to reduce company costs and increasing employee productivity.

Skills and Experience Required

As Operations Director, must demonstrate exceptional organisation and planning skills. Other skills and qualifications include:

    In this role, you will cover the local and national area, carrying out the installation of solar PV systems into commercial and industrial properties. You will be given full training and gain qualifications to carry out the installation of electric vehicle charging points.

    The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician and have experience in the installation of electrical distribution electrical services. Knowledge of PV systems would be advantageous, but training on renewable technologies is available. Candidates who have experience with electrical vehicle charging points are encouraged to apply.

    To passionately manage and drive the overall growth of the business and increase revenues. Responsibility for all strategic Sales & Marketing activities, playing an active role in the profitable and continuous development of the business. To control on a day-to-day basis all direct lead and sales generation activities along with all relevant staff, both internal and external. Particular attention to be paid to the delivery and management of direct marketing, external canvassing, promotional events, sales and marketing activities and general development of all sales opportunities for all the Engenera Group companies, whilst continuously looking at new opportunities with existing and new clients.


    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage the maintenance and development of a computerised customer and prospect database, in line with other board members.
    • Develop ideas and create offers for marketing to major potential clients, by market sector, which will greatly enhance the Engenera brand.
    • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries within agreed timescales.
    • Monitor and report to the board on activities and provide relevant management information on key activities to achieve agreed sales targets.
    • Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
    • Maintain and report on equipment and software suitability for direct marketing and sales reporting purposes, so that appropriate funding and system development can be allotted by the relevant department.
    • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
    • Manage the external direct sales & marketing agencies and ensure cost effective use of finance and resource, in line with agreed plans and budgets.
    • Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.
